MD 135mm f2 lens

Update II (5/21/15).-- The lens was sold to KEH. I had a lot of people view the ad for this lens, but no one inquired let alone offered to buy the lens or make an offer, so it's gone to KEH, and will be on their Website in the future. Ya'll missed your chance for a great lens.

Update.-- The price is negotiable, see below, but consider KEH would sell this lens for more than the asking price, and in fact I have a quote from them for the asking price and if it doesn't sell here soon, I'll sell it to KEH as I did the collection.

Below are the photos of the last lens for sale, maybe, which is a MD 135mm f2 lens. There are a lot of f2.8 and slower 135mm lenses but none faster. I like this lens and for that reason kept it out of the collection sold to KEH, but for the right price, it's available.

The lens comes with a 72mm Tiffen Haze-1 filter which is one of several types I commonly keep on lenses because they don't impact the image and protect the outer lens from dust and damage. For the last few years it's been mostly sitting but the lens is still clear and works great.

The asking price is $600, shipping included. Please let me know if you have any question, outside the obvious, will I accept a lower price, for which the answer is, "Make an offer I can't refuse." I don't need to sell it and would love to keep it, but circumstances aren't in my favor, but not enough to sell it for less.

Schneider 300mm

Here's the Schneider Symmar-S MC 300mm f5.6 lens. Other than the obvious discoloration on the edge of the outer lens mount, the lens is in excellent condition. The asking price is $600 including priority shipping in the US.

Schneider 180mm

Update.--This lens has sold.

Here is the Schneider APO Symmar-S 180mm f5.6 MC lens. It's the last iteration of this lens with all the improvements for coatings. The asking price is $400 including priority shipping in the US.

Schneider 90mm

The first of the large format lens is a Schneider Super-Angulon 90mm f5.6. If you're not familar with Schneider's lenses, the designation is in part the evolution of the lens, mostly add prefixes or suffixes, for improvements or newer versions. This is the first generation after the f8 version and before the MC and XL versions. The asking price for this lens $300, priority shipping in the US included.

Schneider Lenses

Here are the three Schneider large format lenses for sale, a Super-Angulon 90mm f5.6, an APO-Symmar 180mm f5.6 and a Symmar-S MC 300mm f5.6. They're in excellent condition minus some wear and obvious age. The asking prices are individually $300, $400 and $700, respectively, or $1,300 for the set of three, all including priority shipping in the US.

Collection Sold

After some procrastination about selling the collection piecemeal, meaning sell the best stuff people want, and often at less than the market value, and leaving the stuff no one wants except if it's free, I found a way to sell the whole collection, minus the 4 cameras and 10 lenses I'll keep.

I have always held out the option of selling the collection to a wholesaler or reseller, such as KEH, and at times they have had some interest in some of it but not always all of it, and having to go through their Website to list all the time was laborious.

I found the answer when KEH came to a local photography equipment used equipment sell and swap meet in the Seattle area. After sending them the list of the collection, they offered to buy the whole collection, and at a fair price since it's more than what would sell and they get the rest.

So on Saturday (April 11th) I took the collection to them where they reviewed, tagged and assessed the value and came to a slightly higher value they offered initially from the list. The agreement was they paid for the collection and shipping, and it will be shipped next week to their Atlanta office.

I left the show with a nice check which now absolves me of all of it. I'm keeping my original SRT-101 and 58mm f1.2 lens I started photography in 1969 and a few more items, including a brand new (really) XD-11, one really sweet camera, along with 5 small MD lenses from 28mm to 135mm which was my basic street photography gear for years.

Also, included in what I'll keep are a 21mm f4.5 mm (requires mirror lockup), a personal favorite to use, a MC 100mm f2 lens, a MD 135mm f2 lens, and a Tamron 300mm f2.8 with the TC's, lens hood, the complete set of drop-in filters and several 110mm outer filters.

The Tamron lens looks battered but the optics and mechanics are in great shape. Along with that, since Tamron didn't make the adaptor for this lens to AF bodies, I have a Minolta MC/MD to Canon EOS adaptor for the Canon 5D and 1N. It takes some practice using it as the Canon's camera to lens connections don't work, but nothing too hard or time consuming.

This only leaves 3 large format lenses to sell, which I'll advertise soon if anyone is interested. They are a Schneider Super Angulon 90mm f5.6, a Schneider APO Symmar 180mm f5.6 and a Schneider Symmar 300mm f5.6. I love these lenses but they don't fit the Horseman HD camera.

I have thought to keep them should I buy a better field camera or a rail camera, but the one I wanted was never produced after paying a deposit (refunded recently). I still hold hope but finances don't look good for it, so the lenses will be offered in the near future.

Let me know if you want photos or are interested. They're in excellent condition with Copal shutters which work great.
